With the aim of providing employment opportunities to educated unemployed youth and disabled job seekers, Dr. Sharath Mariyappa Foundation has organized a massive job fair ‘Malenadu Mega Jobathon 2026’ at the city’s NES grounds on September 19.
The fair, which will be held from 9.30 am to 5 pm, will have free entry, and foundation founder Dr. Sharath Mariyappa appealed to job seekers to participate in large numbers.
Speaking at a press conference, he said that the response to the fair has exceeded expectations, with 166 companies participating in the fair. Out of these, 38 companies are from Shivamogga, with a total of more than 10,000 job opportunities available.
Initially, more than 100 companies and about 3,000 job opportunities were expected. However, it is gratifying that the companies have responded beyond expectations. Now, in line with the demand of the companies, a large number of job seekers should participate in the fair and make good use of the opportunities, he appealed.
He said that there are job opportunities in various sectors including software, IT, banking, finance, hospitality, retail, BPO, KPO, customer service, medical, healthcare, manufacturing, engineering, pharmacy, nursing, mechanical, electronics, drivers, security guards, garments, housekeeping, HR and administrative departments.
Candidates with various qualifications including SSLC, PUC, ITI, Diploma, Degree, Engineering, MBA, MCom, MSc, Mpharma, Nursing graduates and disabled candidates can participate. He said that the recruitment will be done based on the rules and norms of the respective companies.
Job seekers should bring at least ten copies of their biodata and Xerox copies of their educational qualifications. Dressing appropriately for the position, punctuality, subject knowledge, skills and discipline should be given priority. Those between the ages of 18 and 45 can participate in the fair, he informed.
Ministers Madhu Bangarappa and Santosh Lad will distribute offer letters to the selected candidates on September 19 till 2 pm, he said.

Training has already been provided by the foundation team at various colleges in the city on how to participate in the job fair. The main objective of the fair is to provide employment to the youth who have completed their degrees including various professional courses and are waiting for employment, said Dr Sharath Mariyappa.
