To ensure rural households secure wage employment within their native villages, a door-to-door Form No. 6 job demand campaign was launched under the Asooti Gram Panchayat jurisdiction in Rona taluk.
As part of the outreach, Panchayat Development Officers (PDOs) and VB-G RAM (G) field staff visited individual households across the village, identifying families seeking manual work. Officials registered formal employment demand directly via Form No. 6, briefing residents on site regarding scheme entitlements, application mechanisms, and the procedure for work allotment. The proactive door-to-door approach was instituted specifically to assist vulnerable workers, elderly villagers, and those unable to travel to the Gram Panchayat office in person.
Following verification of the submitted demand applications, the administration will issue formal work orders and allocate eligible beneficiaries to approved local civil projects, including water conservation structures, rural infrastructure upgrades, and sustainable livelihood assets. Rural families have responded with keen interest, encouraged by the guaranteed daily wage of ₹382 and the enhanced statutory entitlement of 125 days of guaranteed wage employment per year.
The campaign addresses seasonal underemployment, bridging the lean period between monsoon rains and standard agricultural sowing when local farm labor is scarce. By creating immediate work opportunities within village limits, the taluk-wide drive aims to curb distress migration to urban centers.
Panchayat officials reiterated that no eligible household seeking manual work will be overlooked, confirming that job allocation on active project sites will begin shortly after application processing. Gram Panchayat staff and scheme field coordinators participated actively in collecting applications across Asooti.
