The Airports Authority of India (AAI), Mysuru Airport, under the aegis of the *Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA), will be organizing Yatri Seva Abhiyan 2026 from September 17 to 10 October 2026.
The 24-day nationwide campaign is aimed at strengthening passenger facilitation, improving service quality, and enhancing the overall travel experience at airports across the country.
According to P. V. Usha Kumari, Airport Director, Mysuru Airport, the campaign will encompass a series of passenger-centric initiatives covering cleanliness drives, seating audits, Passenger with Reduced Mobility (PRM) accessibility assessments, baggage facilitation, digital ease of travel, grievance redressal mechanisms, medical preparedness, and sustainability-focused activities.
A special highlight of the campaign will be the celebration of ‘World Tourism Day on Sept 27, during which Mysuru Airport will host “Atithi Devo Bhava” themed programmes to extend a warm welcome to passengers and visitors. The event will showcase the rich cultural heritage and hospitality of Mysuru through traditional performances and tourism promotion activities.
The initiative has received enthusiastic support from several community stakeholders and partner organizations. Rotary Club will contribute additional books for the airport flybrary, while students from Birla Open Minds International School, Hindustan College, and Mysuru Royal Institute of Technology will present cultural programmes. JSS Hospital will conduct complimentary health check-ups for passengers.
Several local organizations and sponsors, including Ask Mysore, Nishka Gifts, Hanumanthu Pulav, Metropole Royal Orchid, Regenta Central Herald, and Shree Mahalakshmi Sweets, have also extended their support to the campaign, reinforcing a collaborative community effort towards passenger welfare and service enhancement.
Speaking on the occasion, the Airport Director noted that Yatri Seva Abhiyan 2026 reflects Mysuru Airport’s commitment to creating a safe, accessible, passenger-friendly, and culturally vibrant travel environment. Through the active participation of stakeholders, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, and local businesses, the programme is expected to bring visible improvements in passenger satisfaction and operational excellence.
The campaign will further strengthen Mysuru Airport’s position as a key gateway to Karnataka’s cultural capital, while promoting tourism, community engagement, and service excellence in line with the vision of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Airports Authority of India.
