Hubballi
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Karnataka for two days on September 18 and 19. He is expected to arrive in Hubballi at around 10 pm on September 18 and stay at a private hotel.
On September 19, Shah will inaugurate a newly constructed 1,500-bed high-tech hospital and a new medical college building of the KLE Society at Gabbur Bypass on the outskirts of Hubballi. The programmes are expected to draw several senior BJP leaders and local representatives.
Later in the evening, Shah will travel to Yaksamba village in Chikkodi taluk of Belagavi district. He will inaugurate the new building of the Biareshwara Co-operative Credit Society, associated with MLA Shashikala Jolle and former MP Annasaheb Jolle.
The visit comes amid political discussions following the recent Enforcement Directorate raid involving Karnataka Minister Satish Jarkiholi. Shah’s scheduled programme in Belagavi district, which is Jarkiholi’s home district, has attracted attention among political observers.
The Jarkiholi brothers and the Jolle family have previously worked together in the DCC Bank election, with Annasaheb Jolle becoming DCC Bank president with their support. Several BJP leaders are expected to remain in Hubballi during Shah’s visit. However, the scheduled programmes are official engagements, while political interpretations surrounding the visit remain a matter of discussion.
