Doddaballapur
Police have arrested a 28-year-old man from Doddaballapur on suspicion of maintaining links with Pakistani gangsters through social media. The arrested person has been identified as Syed Abubakar, a resident of Islampur. Police said the arrest followed information from the Counter Intelligence Cell and Central Intelligence Bureau. During examination of his mobile phone, officials allegedly found that he had liked Instagram videos linked to Pakistani gangsters and shared some of them as status updates. Police also reportedly found photographs of pistols on his phone and said he had shown interest in firearms. He was reportedly working as an AC mechanic and is being questioned. A case has been registered at Doddaballapur Town Police Station under Sections 113(3) and 197(2) of the BNS. Further investigation is underway.
