Chitradurga
A private tourist bus travelling from Bengaluru to Goa overturned near Aimangala in Hiriyur taluk on Friday, killing two people and injuring 20 others. The deceased have been identified as bus driver Gurupasad and cleaner Shankar. One passenger is reportedly in critical condition. The accident occurred on the National Highway near Aimangala when the bus fell into a trench on the left side of the road. The front portion of the vehicle was badly damaged. The injured passengers were shifted to the district hospital for treatment. The bus was reportedly carrying 53 people when the accident occurred. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Aimangala police station, and further details are awaited.
