St. Philomena’s College hosts ‘Techno Expo 4.0’

The two-day ‘Techno Expo 4.0’, a technology exhibition organised by the BCA Department of St. Philomena’s College, was inaugurated at the college’s indoor stadium on Wednesday.

The exhibition, being held on August 19 and 20, features more than 75 technological models and innovative projects developed by students.

Prof. P. Nagabhushan, a senior academic in the fields of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence and Professor Emeritus at JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, inaugurated the expo by cutting the ribbon as the chief guest.

Appreciating the discipline, enthusiasm for learning and eagerness among students to acquire new knowledge, he advised them to evaluate themselves and understand the importance of time. He called upon students to cultivate an attitude of continuous learning and gain new experiences throughout their lives.

Students from various educational institutions, including SDM College and Amrita Vidyalayam, are participating in the expo along with students of St. Philomena’s College. The event provided a platform for knowledge exchange, creativity and showcasing technical skills among students from different colleges. Rev. Dr. Lourd Prasad, Rector; Dr. Ravi J.D. Saldanha, Principal; Dr. Suresh Narayan Rao, AICTE Director; Dr. Noor Mubashir, Coordinator of the Postgraduate Studies and Research Centre; A. Thomas Gunaseelan, Coordinator of the Department of Physics and IQAC, along with other dignitaries, teaching and non-teaching staff, students and media representatives were present.
