BJP protest demands Minister’s resignation over corporation row

GADAG

The BJP Gadag district unit staged a major protest outside the district administration building, demanding the resignation of Minister B. Nagendra over alleged misuse of funds from the Maharishi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation.

Party leaders also criticised the Congress government over what they described as failures affecting the poor.

The protesters raised slogans against the government and accused Minister Nagendra of being responsible for the alleged financial irregularities. BJP leaders demanded his immediate resignation and claimed that the Congress government had failed to protect public money. They also criticised the administration, alleging that corruption had affected the interests of disadvantaged communities.

BJP District President Raju Kuradagi, Yuva Morcha District President Santosh Akki and party leaders M.S. Karigoudra, Hemagirish Havinal, Bhimsingh Rathod and Shivraj Hiremani Patil were among those who participated.

Hundreds of party workers joined the demonstration and voiced their demands. The protesters said the government must ensure accountability and take action over the allegations. They called for a transparent inquiry and urged authorities to protect public funds and the interests of people who depend on welfare schemes.
