Farmers receiving benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme must complete e-KYC every year to continue receiving financial support. Under the scheme, the Central Government provides Rs. 2,000 in three yearly installments directly to eligible farmers’ bank accounts. Farmers can complete e-KYC using biometric verification at nearby Customer Service Centres, Karnataka One or Gram One centres by providing their Aadhaar details. They can also use facial recognition through the VNO mobile app. The Joint Director of Agriculture said e-KYC remains pending for some beneficiaries in the district and urged farmers to complete the process soon.
