The Karnataka Transport Department has officially increased emission testing fees across all monitoring centers, with revised rates taking effect immediately. Under the new order, two-wheeler pollution checks rise from 65 – 80 rupees, while autorickshaw testing fees now cost 80 rupees. Additionally, charges for petrol, LPG, and CNG cars increase to one hundred fifty rupees, and diesel-powered vehicles jump to two hundred rupees. Officials stated these adjustments apply directly to Pollution under Control certificate issuances, impacting vehicle owners statewide who must now pay higher rates during mandatory emission checkups.
