The Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports felicitated entrepreneur Satveer Rotti and his sons Vinay Rotti and Sumant Rotti for completing a challenging cycling journey from Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
Youth Empowerment and Sports Department Commissioner Anucheth, IPS, honoured the Rotti family and congratulated them on their achievement, which covered the country from its northernmost region to the southern tip.
The Commissioner praised the family’s determination and adventurous spirit, saying their journey demonstrated physical fitness, mental strength and discipline. He noted that undertaking such a demanding cycling expedition required sustained effort, endurance and commitment.
Fitness and sports inspiration
Anucheth said achievements of this nature could inspire young people to adopt healthier lifestyles and take greater interest in sports and physical activities.
The Commissioner also appreciated the family for showcasing the importance of perseverance while undertaking a long-distance cycling expedition across the country.
The cycling journey from Jammu and Kashmir to Kanyakumari represents a significant endurance challenge, requiring participants to negotiate varied terrain and weather conditions while maintaining a demanding travel schedule.
Officials said the achievement demonstrated not only the family’s physical capabilities but also their mental resilience and discipline.
The felicitation programme was attended by Sports Department Joint Director Jitendra Shetty and Senior Assistant Director of the Department of Information Dr Girish L.P.
The department’s recognition of the Rotti family is aimed at encouraging similar sporting and adventure initiatives and motivating young people to pursue fitness, endurance-based activities and sports.
