Railway track maintenance disrupts Yeshwantpur-Mangalore route

Line block measures have been implemented on the railway track between Shiribagilu – Edakumari railway stations of Mysore division due to maintenance and various engineering works being carried out.

As a result, the movement of a total of six express trains running between Yeshwantpur – Mangalore Junction, Yeshwantpur – Karwar and Mangalore Junction – Yeshwantpur has been cancelled for several days in October and November. The railway department said in a statement that train movement will resume as usual after the track maintenance and engineering works are completed.

No travel for 12 days:

As per the department’s announcement, train number 16575 Yeshwantpur-Mangalore Junction Tri-Weekly Express train will not run for a total of 12 days including October 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 22, 25, 27, 29 and November 1 and 3.

Similarly, train number 16576 Mangalore Junction-Yesvantpur Tri-Weekly Express train will be cancelled for a total of 12 days including October 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 23, 26, 28, 30 and November 2 and 4.

Train No. 16515 Yesvantpur-Karwar Tri-Weekly Express train will be cancelled for a total of 11 days including October 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 21, 23, 26, 28, 30 and November 2.

Similarly, train number 16516 Karwar-Yeswanthpur Tri-Weekly Express train will be suspended for a total of 11 days including October 6, 8, 10, 13, 15, 22, 24, 27, 29, 31 and November 3.

In addition, train number 16539 Yesvantpur-Mangalore Junction Weekly Express train will be cancelled for a total of 3 days on October 10, 24 and 31.

Train No. 16540 Mangalore Junction-Yesvantpur Weekly Express train will not operate for a total of 3 days on October 11, 25 and November 1.

Precautionary note for passengers: This service has been changed due to track maintenance and engineering works between Shiribagilu-Edakumari.
