Madilu Rural Development Organization President and State Mahila Congress General Secretary Triveni D.M. said government school students from rural areas deserve strong support and equal opportunities.
She made the remarks while distributing free uniforms to 160 students at Government Higher Primary School in Uddur village near Bannikuppe.
Triveni said she became interested in supporting the school after seeing its students represent the institution at the state level. Her organization, which began in 2017, has been conducting social awareness programmes and providing assistance to government schools across the taluk. She thanked parents, villagers and School Development and Monitoring Committee members for their cooperation.
She said the organization plans to support more government schools and organize a free health camp soon for people from rural areas. Triveni recalled that several national leaders, scholars and scientists studied in government schools and later achieved distinction. She said teachers and parents should work together to help children reach higher levels of education and bring recognition to government schools.
During the programme, free sarees were also distributed to kitchen staff. The SDMC and parents honored Triveni for her social service. SDMC President Beeregowda, former Taluk Panchayat member Prasannakumar B.D., Vice President Lakshemagawda, committee members, Head Teacher Dinesh, teachers, village leaders and residents attended the programme. Triveni said her organization would continue supporting education and community welfare with commitment and encouraged everyone to join efforts to build a better society.
