MLA Basavaraj Mattimadu said hoisting the Tricolour at every home on Independence Day would be a significant way of remembering the great personalities who sacrificed their lives for the country.
He was speaking after inaugurating a bike rally organised by the BJP Mandal as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ awareness campaign in Shahabad. He said the Central Government had launched the initiative to encourage citizens to hoist the national flag at their homes and strengthen the spirit of patriotism among people.
Carrying the national flag, BJP workers began the bike rally from Basaveshwar Circle and passed through the major streets of the town before concluding it in front of the BJP office. BJP Mandal pPresident Ninganna Hoolagolkar, Anaveer Ingin Shetty, Ashok Bagali, Lingaraj Biradar, Virendra Patil, Nanda Baba, Sanjay Miskin, Anand Patil, Nagendra Pujari, Dinesh Gowli, Basavaraj Biradar, Kashanna Chennur and Devendrappa Yelagod and others participated in the rally.
