Bengaluru West City Corporation Commissioner Dr Rajendra K.V. inspected ongoing road works on Dr Rajkumar Road in Rajajinagar on Tuesday and directed officials to ensure quality, cleanliness and pedestrian safety.
The Commissioner reviewed the white-topping work from Navrang Theatre Junction to the Jagadguru Renukacharya Circle Junction near the Rajajinagar entrance. He walked along the stretch and assessed the progress of the works.
He instructed Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure Limited (B-SMILE) engineers to construct wider footpaths without obstructing pedestrians. Officials were also asked to complete works systematically and ensure proper arrangements around rainwater drains, stormwater drains and optical fibre cable chambers.

At the Jagadguru Renukacharya Circle Junction, traffic police officials briefed him about congestion-related issues. The Commissioner later visited the Malleshwaram division and reviewed traffic concerns near Sandal Soap Factory Circle and Orion Mall.
