The electoral roll revision process in Bengaluru South is progressing with all voters receiving enumeration forms for verification.
A total of 7,85,800 voters are registered in the Bengaluru South Assembly constituency, with enumeration forms (EFs) distributed to all voters, officials said on Tuesday.
According to the Electoral Registration Officer and Revenue Officer of the Bengaluru South Assembly constituency (Anjanapura division), 4,15,512 enumeration forms have been digitised so far as part of the Electoral Roll Intensive Revision-2026 process.
The door-to-door verification exercise has also provided officials with details about voters who could not be contacted or whose status has changed.
During house visits, 36,291 voters were found absent from their residences, while 2,73,838 voters were reported to have permanently shifted from their registered addresses.
Officials also reported that 20,416 voters had died, based on information gathered during the verification exercise.
The enumeration and verification process is being conducted to update and strengthen the electoral rolls ahead of the 2026 revision.
Authorities are using the information collected through enumeration forms and field verification to identify discrepancies and update voter records.
Officials said the digitisation of the forms will help streamline the revision process and ensure that the electoral database reflects the latest information available from the field.
The exercise includes verification of voter details through house-to-house visits, with enumerators recording information regarding voters who are available, absent, shifted or deceased.
The Bengaluru South constituency is among the areas where the ongoing revision exercise is being closely monitored as officials work to complete the enumeration and digitisation process.
