NEW DELHI
Hyundai Motor India has announced an ambitious roadmap to expand its footprint in smart mobility. The automaker revealed that it is aiming for 2 million cumulative sales of connected cars by the year 2030. Currently, the company already has over 0.8 million smart vehicles running smoothly on roads across the country.
As part of this growth strategy, Hyundai has set an earlier milestone to cross 1 million connected vehicle sales by 2027. Company executives attribute this rapid expansion to strong consumer acceptance of Hyundai Bluelink, which is an advanced artificial intelligence-driven technology platform.
The Bluelink system currently provides more than 70 distinct safety, security, and convenience features. These include remote engine monitoring, vehicle diagnostics, live tracking, digital keys, and secure in-car payments. Additionally, the platform supports over 450 voice commands powered by artificial intelligence across five different languages.
Looking ahead, Hyundai plans to make its next-generation connected vehicle technology a standard feature across all variants of its upcoming mass-market electric SUV. Leadership notes that combining smart connectivity with electric mobility will deliver future-ready ownership experiences.
Since launching Bluelink on the Venue model back in 2019, the automaker has continuously upgraded its software roadmap, introducing over-the-air updates and advanced navigation cockpits. Beyond convenience, these smart features have proven critical for public safety, assisting over half a million motorists through emergency SOS calls, crash notifications, and helping law enforcement agencies trace and recover stolen vehicles successfully.
