Mannalli Police have registered a case against two Bidar city residents following a complaint alleging assault, abuse, criminal intimidation and an attempt to extort money. According to the FIR, a 41-year-old farmer from Yakatpur village, who said he had previously worked as an RMP practitioner, was standing near his house on August 2 when the accused allegedly questioned him about having a government licence to practise medicine. The complainant denied practising medicine but alleged that one accused assaulted him while the other restrained him. He further alleged that they abused and threatened him and demanded money. Mannalli Police registered Crime No. 40/2026 under relevant BNS provisions and launched an investigation.
