The Additional District Election Officer, Bengaluru North, and Commissioner of the Bengaluru North City Corporation, Pommala Sunil Kumar, on Monday urged all eligible voters to submit their enumeration forms by August 8 as the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll entered its final phase.

He said the Election Commission of India had revised the schedule, under which door-to-door visits by enumerators and Booth Level Officers (BLOs), along with the collection of enumeration forms, would conclude on August 8. Eligible voters were advised to complete the process within the stipulated time to ensure their names and details were correctly reflected in the electoral roll.

Sunil Kumar said residents facing any difficulty or confusion regarding the SIR process could immediately contact the 1950 Voter Helpline for assistance. The helpline would provide support for issues such as non-visitation by BLOs, non-availability of forms, guidance on filling forms and submitting supporting documents, verification of submitted forms, corrections or additions to voter details, and prompt resolution of grievances.

He appealed to all voters to make use of the opportunity and cooperate in preparing a clean, accurate and comprehensive electoral roll.
