Apex industry body ASSOCHAM has signed strategic Memorandums of Understanding with Business France and the India & Arab Countries Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (IACCIA) to strengthen trade, investment and business cooperation between India, France and Arab nations.
The agreements were signed during the ASSOCHAM MoU Signing Ceremony and aim to deepen India’s global economic partnerships through institutional cooperation, business exchanges, investment facilitation, technology collaboration and improved market access across multiple sectors.
Under the partnership with Business France, the organisations will promote trade and investment opportunities, encourage technology partnerships and joint ventures, support business delegations and exchange market intelligence. They will also organise trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences and other business-development activities.
ASSOCHAM Secretary General Saurabh Sanyal said India’s increasing engagement with international markets offers significant opportunities for companies to expand investments, partnerships and innovation.
Vianney Meynier, Head of the Agricultural Export Division at Business France, said the partnership would support stronger commercial ties between French and Indian enterprises through greater engagement among companies, institutions and investors.
The MoU with IACCIA focuses on promoting trade and investment between India and Arab countries. It includes facilitating business delegations, sharing trade and investment information, supporting joint ventures and technology transfer, and organising business events.
Dr Waiel S.H. Awwad, Secretary General (In-charge) of IACCIA, said the agreement would provide an important platform for expanding business interaction and investment partnerships.
The collaborations are expected to create new opportunities for enterprises and strengthen India’s economic engagement with France and the Arab region.
