Applications have begun under the V-BG Ramji Scheme, which aims to provide rural labourers with up to 125 days of employment annually. The scheme is being implemented across all gram panchayat limits in Nargund taluk. Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer Sridhar Chinagundi said the initiative would provide local employment and prevent migration as inadequate rainfall has affected agricultural activities. Workers seeking employment must submit applications in Form-6 to their respective gram panchayats. Employment must be provided within 15 days, failing which unemployment allowance may be recommended. Existing NREGA job cards will remain valid until new rural employment cards are issued.
