Haveri voter list revision reaches new milestone

The comprehensive voter list revision work is progressing quickly in the district. Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Dr. Vijayamahantesh Danammavara said that information of 12,15,739 voters has been computerized so far.

He said 100 percent enumeration forms have been distributed and the draft voter list will be published on August 8, allowing corrections and additions.

He said the process is being carried out according to Election Commission guidelines with signatures, photographs and family details checked through enumeration forms. Political party leaders cooperation is important for the successful completion of the special revision work. A total of 13,35,342 forms were distributed and 12,15,739 forms have been computerized, achieving 91.04 percent progress across the district.

The highest computerization was recorded in Hirekerur constituency, while other constituencies also showed steady progress. Officials informed that the revision schedule includes door-to-door visits, polling station updates, claim submissions and final voter list publication on October 19, 2026. So far, 1,07,183 voters have been identified under categories including deaths, migration, duplicates and unavailable voters.

The officials said the exercise will help maintain an accurate electoral record and ensure eligible citizens receive voting rights properly. They urged people to cooperate with officials during the process. The district administration confirmed that all steps are being taken to complete the revision work smoothly and prepare final list.
