The Special Court of People’s Representatives in Bengaluru has taken note of a complaint and issued summons to MLA Janardhana Reddy over allegations made against former IAS officer and sitting MP Sasikanth Senthil. The court has scheduled the next hearing for August 25.
The case relates to allegations made by Reddy that Senthil was connected to the Dharmasthala Burude case. Following these statements, Senthil filed a private complaint against Reddy, claiming that the accusations were false and made with political intentions.
According to the complaint, Reddy had earlier accused Senthil of being involved in a conspiracy related to the case and challenged him to face an investigation. Senthil denied the allegations and said his previous official role involved submitting documents to the CBI in matters connected to Reddy when he was serving in Bellary.
Reddy rejected Senthil’s claims and said there was no connection between them. He stated that Senthil joined duty in Bellary only after his arrest in 2011 and denied the allegations made against him.
The court’s decision to issue summons marks a new development in the dispute between the two leaders. The matter will now continue through legal proceedings, where both sides will present their arguments. The upcoming hearing on August 25 is expected to bring further clarity to the allegations and responses made by both parties in the case.
