The Karnataka government has invited domestic and international investors to explore tourism opportunities in the state, promising strong support through simple policies and faster approvals.
Minister K. J. George said the government is working to create an investor-friendly environment for tourism development while improving facilities and services across the region. He was speaking at the inauguration of the 26th Indian International Travel Mart 2026, held in Bengaluru. The three-day event brought together more than 850 tourism stakeholders, representatives from 16 States and over 26 international organisations, facilitating business-to-business meetings and creating new chances for partnerships.
George said Karnataka has rich tourism options including heritage, wildlife, coastal, spiritual and adventure destinations. He added that the government is focusing on infrastructure, connectivity and visitor services to strengthen Brand Karnataka and promote the state’s many experiences.
Secretary of Tourism Department Dr. V. Ram Prasath Manohar said tourism supports employment, investment and local development. He stressed that cooperation between government and private investors is important for sustainable growth. The minister invited entrepreneurs and industry leaders to join Karnataka’s tourism journey. The event highlighted the state’s commitment to easier approvals and a supportive business system.
Officials said the initiative would help Karnataka attract more visitors and investments while protecting its natural and cultural resources. The tourism sector is expected to gain new opportunities through stronger partnerships and improved facilities.
With global participation at IITM 2026, the state aims to present itself as a leading destination for travellers and investors alike. The government assured continued support to make tourism growth more inclusive and beneficial for all.
