Kankanady police arrested an absconding accused who had evaded arrest despite 14 court-issued warrants. The accused, identified as Chandrashekhar Lingaraj Bovi (26) of Bhadravati, was booked in a 2024 case at Kankanady city police station and had remained missing for around one and a half years after securing bail. Police said he repeatedly changed addresses to avoid arrest. Acting on specific information, warrant staff tracked him down at Malligehalli Maidalu near Balehonnur on July 11. He was later produced before the court following his arrest.
