Vijayapura
The Second Additional District and Sessions Court, through the Lok Adalat, disposed of 208 electricity theft cases registered by the HESCOM Vigilance Police Station during the 2025–26 financial year and imposed a total fine of ₹56.29 lakh. The cases were filed after vigilance raids based on credible information, followed by investigations and submission of charge sheets. Fines of ₹17.97 lakh and ₹8.09 lakh were imposed in separate sets of cases as part of the overall penalty. The enforcement and investigation were carried out by HESCOM Vigilance officials, including Chandrappa Chikkodi, Kotrapppa Haranal, PSI Surekha Galagali, Santosh Rathod and other personnel.
