Political activity in Uttar Pradesh is beginning to intensify as parties prepare for the 2027 Assembly elections, with a recent statement by Samajwadi Party (SP) Member of Parliament Anand Bhadauria triggering discussions within political circles.
His remarks, directed at party ticket aspirants, have been widely interpreted as a message emphasizing discipline, transparency, and adherence to the party’s leadership in the candidate selection process.
Bhadauria, who represents the Dhaurahara Lok Sabha constituency, took to social media platform X to clarify his position regarding the distribution of Assembly election tickets. In his post, he stated that he would neither recommend nor endorse any individual seeking a party nomination and stressed that all aspirants should directly approach the party’s national leadership for consideration.
The SP leader made it clear that no candidate would receive a ticket based on personal recommendations or lobbying by local leaders. Instead, he asserted that the final decision regarding candidate selection rests solely with Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and the party’s central leadership.
In his message, Bhadauria emphasized that he has no personal preference for any prospective candidate in the five Assembly constituencies that fall under his Dhaurahara parliamentary constituency. He assured party workers that he would wholeheartedly support and campaign for whoever is officially nominated by the party.
SundayMy responsibility lies with the five Assembly constituencies within my Lok Sabha seat, Dhaurahara. I will sincerely strive for their victory because I can never go against the party. Whoever the party awards the ticket will be my candidate,Sunday Bhadauria wrote in his social media post.
He also advised ticket aspirants to focus their efforts on presenting their case before the party’s national president rather than seeking support from individual leaders.
