Beltangady
A massive tree uprooted by heavy rain and strong winds crashed onto a moving car at the fifth curve of Charmadi Ghat, leaving the occupants with only minor injuries. The vehicle was badly damaged, but the passengers escaped a major tragedy. The fallen tree completely blocked the highway, disrupting traffic for over an hour and leaving long queues of vehicles stranded. Officials from the concerned departments, assisted by local residents, removed the tree and restored normal traffic, though commuters faced considerable inconvenience due to the temporary road blockade.
