Shivamogga
The temporary stoppage of several passenger and express trains at select railway stations has been extended until September 30, according to railway officials. The extension follows an earlier schedule that had fixed the stoppages only up to June 30.
The Bengaluru–Hosapete–Bengaluru Passenger Train (56519/56520) will continue its temporary halt at Devanur, Holalkere and Amritapura stations. Similarly, the Belagavi–Mysuru–Belagavi Vishwamanava Express (20675/20676) and the KSR Bengaluru–Sindhanur–KSR Bengaluru Express (17391/17392) will retain their stoppage at Ramgiri station.
The Yesvantpur–Bikaner–Yesvantpur Express (16587/16588) will continue halting at Beerur station, while the same Bengaluru–Sindhanur Express will also maintain its stop at Challageri station. The KSR Bengaluru–Talaguppa–KSR Bengaluru Express (20651/20652) will continue its halts at Arasalu and Kumsi stations.
In addition, the Yesvantpur–Shivamogga Town–Yesvantpur Express (16579/16580) will maintain its temporary stoppage at Chikkabanavara station. The Chikkamagaluru–Yesvantpur–Chikkamagaluru Express (16239/16240) will continue stopping at Sampige Road station.
The Talaguppa–Mysuru Express (16228) will retain its halt at Malleshwaram station, while the Mysuru–Thiruvananthapuram North–Mysuru Express (16315/16316) will continue its stoppage at Maddur station.
The KSR Bengaluru–Ashokapuram MEMU train (66553) will keep its halt at Krishnadevaraya Halt. Meanwhile, the Marikuppam–KSR Bengaluru–Marikuppam MEMU (66519/66520) and the Bangarapet–KSR Bengaluru MEMU train (16521) will continue their stoppages at Devanagonthi station.
Railway authorities said the decision aims to ensure continued passenger convenience and operational efficiency on key routes. The extended halts will remain in effect until September 30 unless further revised.
