Ankola
An accident occurred on NH-66 near Avarsa Kavalgadde bridge in Ankola taluk of Uttara Kannada district when a private Seabird bus travelling from Bengaluru to Goa lost control and overturned by the roadside. The bus reportedly skidded and went off the road while attempting to navigate a curve. It hit a tree and came to a stop, preventing a major tragedy. More than 15 passengers onboard escaped without life-threatening injuries, though several sustained minor injuries. Two passengers were seriously injured and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment with the help of locals.
