Three arrested for diesel fraud at fuel station

Shirva police arrested three youths from Bengaluru for allegedly cheating a fuel station in Kurkal by escaping without paying for diesel worth Rs 4,711. The accused, identified as Mohammed Riyaz (26), Mohammed Afraz (23), and Ashil (21), were tracked down in Bengaluru following technical investigation. Police also seized the white Ford EcoSport allegedly used in the offence. The incident occurred on June 27 when the suspects reportedly pretended to make a QR code payment before fleeing. A case has been registered under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and further investigation is underway into possible similar frauds.
