NEW DELHI
India and Japan have launched a historic chapter in their friendship by signing their first-ever joint defense development project. Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Japan’s first female Prime Minister, Sanae Takaichi, referring to her warmly as his “younger sister” during the annual summit. The powerful alliance combines Japan’s precision engineering with India’s advanced software skills to boost global AI development. Beyond defense, the leaders launched a major green energy roadmap. This includes building 1,000 biogas plants across rural India, securing critical supply chains for semiconductors, and ensuring long-term stability across the Indo-Pacific region.
