Dr R Mohammed Shariff has assumed charge as the District Surgeon at the S N R District Hospital in Kolar. Earlier he served as Administrative Medical Officer at Muduvadi Primary Health Centre.
Speaking after taking charge he said his main priority is timely, quality and patient friendly healthcare for people of the district.
He will work closely with doctors, nursing officers and staff to strengthen hospital services and improve healthcare delivery. He also stressed effective implementation of health and family welfare programmes in government hospitals. Among those who greeted him were district health and family welfare officer Dr M Jagadeesh, senior medical officer Dr Srinivas, Dr Srinath Reddy, Dr Pradeep, Dr Pushpalatha, Dr Kamalakar, Dr Ashok Reddy, Dr Kamala, resident medical officer Dr Shantha, Dr Nagaveni, Dr Deepa and Dr Srinath along with nursing officers and administrative staff. Officials expressed confidence that coordinated efforts will strengthen public healthcare in Kolar district.
