District Collector directs support for substation project

MANDYA

The work of 400 KV power substation at Hampapur in Mandya taluk has begun. District Collector has instructed officials to provide full support for smooth execution of the project. After completion, the power system in Mandya district will become stronger and ensure continuous electricity supply for farmers and residents. It will also improve reliability of power distribution across the district. Collector said that if any land or crops are affected during the project, farmers will receive compensation as per government rules. He also directed that survey and boundary marking of KPTCL substation land should be completed at the earliest. Officials were asked to complete the work quickly with coordination among all departments. The meeting was attended by officials from various departments including forest, land records, and electricity transmission corporation along with tehsildars and engineers. They discussed land survey progress, compensation process, and timely completion of the 400 KV substation project to strengthen power supply in Mandya.
