Students learn service through new NSS unit

The National Service Scheme Unit was inaugurated at Government High School, Kamalapur, where students were encouraged to take part in social service activities and build responsible habits in life. Mr. Shetty, Head of Human Resources at Tata Motors Dharwad Unit, said every child should understand the value of helping society through service. He opened the unit by watering a sapling during the program.

Tata Motors also conducted a practical fire safety demonstration for students and explained how to control fires and stay safe during emergencies. Students actively participated and showed their understanding of fire prevention methods. Headmaster Ramesh Yerali advised students to balance education with social work and become good citizens. NSS officer A. F. Ankalagi explained the purpose of the scheme and its importance. Tata Motors staff members and school teachers attended the event. The gathering highlighted the need for young people to contribute to society and develop kindness through service. The initiative aims to inspire students towards a more caring and responsible future for all.
