Karnataka U-19 secured the 3rd T20 National Cricket Championship for the Deaf 2026, defeating Haryana by five wickets

Karnataka U-19 has been crowned champions of the 3rd T20 National Cricket Championship for the Deaf 2026. In a dominant final display at the RDT Stadium, Karnataka defeated Haryana by five wickets to claim the prestigious national title.

After winning the toss and electing to bowl first, Karnataka’s disciplined attack quickly dismantled the Haryana batting lineup, bowling them out for just 74 runs in under 16 overs. Karnataka chased down the target comfortably, finishing at 78/5 in 13.5 overs to secure their victory.

The week-long tournament, hosted by the Deaf Cricket Association of Andhra Pradesh, brought together ten state teams from across the country to compete in 23 league matches. The event served as a major platform for young deaf athletes to showcase their skills, supported by the Indian Deaf Cricket Association (IDCA) and the BCCI.

Individual excellence was on full display throughout the tournament. Karnataka’s Santih Shetty took home both the Best Batsman and Player of the Series awards, while M U Sagar was recognized as the Best Bowler and the Player of the Final Match. Delhi U-19 finished in third place to round out the top performers.

IDCA President Sumit Jain praised the athletes for their passion and sportsmanship, noting that the event represents a proud milestone for deaf cricket in India. As the tournament concluded, organizers expressed their gratitude to the sponsors and volunteers who helped make this inclusive celebration of talent a resounding success.
