Indian athletes delivered another spectacular performance at the ISSF Junior World Championship in Germany. On the second day of the tournament, the talented national shooting contingent added five more medals to their growing collection.
Young shooter Sameer led the charge by winning a gold medal in the rapid-fire pistol event. He showed incredible calmness under pressure during the intense final round, finishing with twenty-eight successful hits. Shortly after, Rohit Kanyan secured India’s second individual gold of the day with a brilliant performance in the men’s three-position rifle competition.
The country’s female athletes also shined brightly on the global stage. Prachi Gaikwad fought hard to secure a silver medal, finishing as the proud runner-up in the women’s rifle event.
India’s success extended deeply into the team categories as well. The men’s rifle trio, featuring individual champion Rohit Kanyan alongside Vedant Waghmare and Hithesh Srinivasan, combined their skills to capture a bronze medal. Another bronze medal was quickly won by the men’s rapid-fire pistol team, thanks to the accurate shooting of Sameer, Abhinav Choudhary, and Sahil Choudhary.
With these latest victories, India comfortably maintains its position at the very top of the tournament’s overall medal standings. The team has now collected eight total medals, including four golds, within just two days of fierce competition. Team officials praised the junior athletes for their great consistency and outstanding sportsmanship across both individual and group events.
