Last year, July 25 became an important date for Kannada cinema. At a time when the industry was looking for a much-needed theatrical success, Su From So became a surprise hit and helped revive confidence during a difficult phase.
Now, exactly one year later, another Kannada film is preparing to release around the same date. Director Gurudatha Ganiga’s Karavali, starring Prajwal Devaraj and Raj B Shetty, has locked July 24 as its theatrical release date.
Speaking about the release, Gurudatha Ganiga said the team is confident that the film will offer a strong cinematic experience.
We have made an honest film and believe audiences will enjoy it, he added.
Set against the backdrop of coastal Karnataka, Karavali explores culture, landscape, and a conflict between humans and animals in a rural setting.
Sampada plays the female lead, while Mithra, Ramesh Indira, and Sridhar appear in important roles.
The film is produced under Ganiga Films in association with VK Film Association and presented by KVN Productions.
It also features music by Sachin Basrur and cinematography by Abhimanyu Sadanandan.
The team says post-production work is progressing and more updates will be shared soon.
Karavali is expected to reach theatres on July 24 across Karnataka and other regions. The makers are planning a strong promotional campaign in the coming weeks. With growing interest from audiences, the film is aiming to create a positive response at the box office during its release. We expect strong audience turnout due to regional storytelling appeal.
