Karnataka Minister U T Khader has said that strengthening the party at the booth level is more important than internal criticism, stressing the need to focus on organisational discipline and grassroots outreach.
Speaking in Mangaluru, Khader said the party must work with unity and aim for victory in the 2028 Assembly elections, as well as upcoming Corporation, Zilla Panchayat, and other local body polls. He emphasized that booth-level consolidation would be key to electoral success.
He noted that political strength is built from the ground up and urged party workers to focus on connecting with voters directly at the booth level. According to him, sustained engagement with local communities would help translate government welfare schemes into electoral support.
Khader also indicated that internal discussions and differences should not distract from the larger goal of strengthening the organisation. He called for coordinated efforts among leaders, elected representatives, and party workers to ensure effective implementation of strategies at the grassroots.
Party leaders present at the meeting echoed similar views, highlighting the importance of mobilising workers and improving coordination across districts. They also discussed strategies to improve outreach in urban and rural areas ahead of upcoming elections.
The minister’s remarks come amid ongoing organisational reviews within the party, where emphasis is being placed on booth-level committees as the foundation of election planning.
Khader reiterated that the party’s focus should remain on building trust among voters and delivering on development and welfare commitments, rather than engaging in unnecessary criticism.
