Delhi police catch cybercrime gang

NEW DELHI

Delhi’s cyber police have smashed a major national fraud network by arresting ten criminals. The gang targeted jobless and poor people, tricking them into opening bank accounts with false promises of employment. Once opened, the fraudsters grabbed the checkbooks, ATM cards, and online passwords to hide stolen scam money. The racket collapsed after a Kerala woman lost two lakh rupees, leading police to the gang’s doorstep. Officers seized eleven POS machines, twelve phones, and dozens of debit cards. Authorities are now warning citizens never to share or sell their banking details to strangers.
