Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday positioned the state as an attractive destination for semiconductor manufacturing, inviting entrepreneurs from Singapore to explore investment opportunities and examine the state’s business-friendly policies. Speaking at the Semicon Ecosystem roundtable conference in Singapore, Naidu emphasized the state’s readiness to support large-scale industrial projects and technological development.
The Chief Minister addressed industry leaders and representatives from semiconductor manufacturing companies on the second day of his two-day visit to Singapore. He highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s commitment to a Speed of Doing Business approach, which aims to simplify procedures, accelerate approvals, and create a favorable environment for investors. According to Naidu, the state is well-prepared to accommodate global companies seeking reliable and efficient locations for expansion.
During his address, Naidu stressed that India remains one of the safest and most secure destinations for international investments. He noted that Andhra Pradesh, with its strategic policies and infrastructure development initiatives, offers significant advantages for businesses seeking long-term growth. He encouraged Singapore-based entrepreneurs to visit the state within the next 30 days to gain firsthand knowledge of the opportunities available.
According to an official statement, the Chief Minister outlined extensive prospects in semiconductor manufacturing and revealed that a semiconductor production facility would soon be established in the Rayalaseema region. He explained that the region possesses immense potential to develop into a major industrial center supporting sectors such as defense, aerospace, electronics, fighter aircraft production, and automobile manufacturing.
The roundtable conference attracted participation from several leading semiconductor industry representatives, who discussed investment prospects, technological collaboration, and future growth opportunities. The interaction was aimed at strengthening ties between Andhra Pradesh and Singapore’s advanced manufacturing sector.
In a separate event held during his visit, Naidu unveiled a book titled CBN@361 Degrees: Polymath. The launch took place at a program organized by the Kakatiya Cultural Association in Singapore. The Chief Minister presented the first copies of the book to India’s High Commissioner to Singapore, Shilpak Ambule, Minister P. Narayana, and representatives of the association.
The book, authored by Sakhamuru Srinivasa Prasad and translated into English by retired civil servant K.V. Satyanarayana, examines Naidu’s leadership decisions and development initiatives.
