Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government has implemented many historic projects and welfare programmes over the past 12 years, bringing major changes in the country, said Gangavathi MLA Gali Janardhana Reddy at a press conference in Koppal. He said these schemes have improved the lives of the poor, farmers, women, youth and middle class, and helped India become one of the leading economies in the world.
He highlighted programmes like Kisan Samman Nidhi, free food grain distribution, Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Digital India and Make in India, which have brought positive change across society. He said infrastructure development such as national highways, railways modernization, airports expansion, Vande Bharat trains and rural urban development has strengthened the country.
According to him, India is now the fourth largest economy and is moving towards the goal of a self-reliant nation.
Later, Legislative Council member Hemalatha Nayak said welfare schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ayushman Bharat and free ration distribution are reaching poor and vulnerable people directly through the DBT system. He added that India’s international respect has grown, with active roles in G20 presidency, International Solar Alliance and Quad cooperation.
The leaders present said the government is committed to development, welfare and good governance across the nation. Overall, speakers at the press conference said that India is moving on a strong development path under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, with focus on inclusive growth, infrastructure, digital progress and welfare schemes that aim to benefit every section of society and strengthen the country’s position in the world while ensuring better living standards for all citizens.
