Former minister and BJP leader Pramod Madhwaraj on Saturday dismissed rumours about his alleged move to the Congress, reaffirming his commitment to the Bharatiya Janata Party and stating that public service remains the primary goal of his political career.

In an official clarification, Madhwaraj said reports and speculation regarding his possible entry into the Congress were completely baseless and had no truth in them. He reiterated that he joined the BJP not for power or positions, but with the intention of serving the people.

Madhwaraj said authority and positions only bring additional responsibility and should be viewed as opportunities to serve society more effectively. He maintained that he was neither seeking any post nor aspiring for power.

According to him, a leader’s real strength comes from the trust and support of the people rather than from official designations. If entrusted with any responsibility, he would use it solely to address public issues and work for the welfare of citizens, he said.

The BJP leader further stated that he would sincerely discharge any responsibility assigned to him by the party leadership. Even if no position was offered, he would continue working among the people as an ordinary party worker and remain committed to strengthening the organisation.

Expressing confidence in the BJP leadership, Madhwaraj said party leaders would recognise his work, loyalty and dedication to public service and take appropriate decisions at the right time.

He also thanked party workers, supporters and the public for their continued trust and encouragement throughout his political journey.

Appealing to the public, Madhwaraj urged people not to believe false reports and rumours circulating on social media and to rely only on official information.

“Power is not my goal; public service is my mission. Whether I receive power or not, I will continue serving the people,” he said, reiterating his commitment to the BJP and dismissing speculation about any political shift.
