TCS partners Anthropic to accelerate enterprise AI adoption

New Delhi

Indian IT services major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday announced a global strategic partnership with Anthropic to accelerate enterprise-wide artificial intelligence adoption and empower 50,000 associates with access to Claude AI tools.

As part of the collaboration, TCS will establish a dedicated business unit focused on delivering industry-specific AI solutions and advanced expertise built around the Claude family of AI models. The company said the initiative will provide early access to Anthropic’s latest models, enabling faster development and deployment of AI-powered applications across sectors.

According to TCS, the partnership is designed to help enterprises move beyond pilot projects and successfully implement AI solutions in production environments, particularly in highly regulated industries where compliance, security and reliability are critical.

The company noted that its strengths in governance, risk management and large-scale implementation, combined with Anthropic’s AI capabilities, will help organisations deploy AI confidently and achieve measurable business outcomes. The collaboration also includes joint go-to-market initiatives, workforce training programmes and industry-focused innovation efforts.

The partnership extends to TCS products, platforms and domain-specific solutions. Diligenta, TCS’s UK-based life and pensions business regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, will use Claude AI to enhance customer experience through large-scale agentic process transformation. Diligenta currently serves more than 22 million life and pensions customers.

Additionally, TCS’s banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) platforms and product teams will utilise Claude Code to improve productivity in software engineering and IT operations. The company also plans to contribute reusable skills and plugins to the Claude Code ecosystem, including specialised capabilities for claims processing and lending advisory services.

Speaking on the partnership, K. Krithivasan said enterprise AI value comes from combining business understanding, complex system orchestration and deep engineering expertise.

Dario Amodei said the collaboration strengthens Anthropic’s commitment to India, while N. Chandrasekaran described the partnership as a step toward accelerating enterprise transformation and preparing India’s youth for the AI-driven future.
