BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra launched a scathing attack on the ruling Congress party, claiming that internal power struggles have plunged Karnataka into financial bankruptcy and complete administrative failure.
Vijayendra stated that speculation over who will succeed Siddaramaiah as Chief Minister is merely a distraction. He argued that the current government has become an absolute curse for citizens. He emphasized that whether Dr. G. Parameshwar, D.K. Shivakumar, or Mallikarjun Kharge takes over, the state’s shattered economy cannot be rescued.
The BJP leader alleged that basic governance has collapsed entirely over the past three years. He criticized the Congress administration for prioritizing minority appeasement while neglecting the urgent needs of local farmers, the poor, and the youth. Furthermore, he raised serious alarms over state security, warning that Karnataka is rapidly transforming into a major drug capital under the current leadership.
Vijayendra noted that while ordinary citizens suffer from widespread corruption, senior ministers and MLAs have abandoned their duties to camp in Delhi, aggressively lobbying for powerful positions. He also accused the government of conspiring to create an artificial shortage of essential fertilizers, leaving vulnerable farmers without any support.
When asked if the opposition would intervene, the BJP State President clarified that because Congress holds a full majority, the BJP will not interfere in their internal matters. Instead, he promised that the party would continue to effectively fulfill its democratic role as a vigilant opposition.
