A 24-year-old man died and his father was seriously injured after a scooter collided with a bike near Periyadka in Permude. The deceased, identified as N Kishan of Nettaraguli in Bayar, was riding the scooter with his father Madhava Devadiga as pillion. Reports said an oncoming bike hit the scooter directly, causing severe impact. Kishan died on the spot, while his father suffered grievous injuries and was shifted to a hospital in Mangaluru for treatment. Kumble police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the accident to determine the exact cause and circumstances.
