A large-scale free health check-up camp will be held on May 30 in front of the Madapura Gram Panchayat office in Kodagu district. The event is jointly organised by the Kodagu District Working Journalists’ Association, Somwarpet taluk unit, Madapura Gram Panchayat, and Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences teaching hospital, Madikeri. The camp will run from 10 am to 1 pm, with doctors from the district hospital providing general health screenings, blood pressure and diabetes tests, and other basic check-ups. A blood donation drive and organ donation registration will also be conducted. Participants are encouraged to bring one litre of drinking water for quality testing, with experts offering guidance and awareness on water safety in rural areas.
