Meeting with political party leaders on Special Comprehensive Revision of Voters List 2026 was held at the District Collector Office hall in Gadag under chairmanship of District Election Officer and District Collector C N Sridhar.
District Collector said that Election Commission of India notification dated 14 May 2026 initiated the Special Comprehensive Revision of Voters List across the district. He informed that district has four assembly constituencies and 967 polling booths with 905206 total voters including male female and third gender voters.
A total of 826953 voters have been mapped achieving 91.36 percent progress with BLOs supervisors and election staff working for completion. He urged political parties to cooperate and said Booth Level Agents will be appointed for all polling stations.
District Superintendent of Police Rohan Jagadish Additional District Election Officer Duragesh KR and officials attended the meeting. Officials said cooperation is essential for accurate voter list preparation and transparent elections in the district. They added that revision process will strengthen voter database accuracy and democratic participation in future elections. Election officials said awareness programmes and verification drives will continue as per Election Commission guidelines across all polling booths.
District administration appealed to all political party representatives and polling staff to ensure smooth completion of revision process and maintain accuracy in voter records. They said the exercise will improve electoral transparency strengthen democratic participation and support fair elections in Gadag district. Officials confirmed monitoring teams will supervise each stage of work and ensure timely completion without errors. Citizens are encouraged to cooperate with booth level officers during verification and mapping activities.
