The Mangaluru Crime Intelligence Unit has arrested two suspects who fled to Kerala after attacking a policeman on duty. The accused, twenty-four-year-olds Sachin K.R. and Chandan, were tracked down by investigators in Kanhangad. According to police, the duo was riding a two-wheeler when the pillion rider suddenly struck an on-duty constable’s head with a heavy cement sheet. The brutal assault left the officer severely injured. Facing charges of attempted murder and obstructing government duty, both local factory workers have been handed over to the Urva police, and their vehicle has been seized.
