police arrested a man within 24 hours for allegedly stealing gold ornaments from a Kerala pilgrim killed in a road accident at Dali near Kollur. Two women pilgrims had died in the crash. Following a complaint by Sreekumar, Kollur police registered a theft case and began an immediate investigation. Acting under the guidance of Kundapur DySP H D Kulkarni and Byndoor circle inspector Shivakumar, a team led by PSI Vinay M Korlahalli traced and arrested the accused. The investigation team included HC Nagendra, HC Lakshman Ganiga, HC Raghavendra, and PC Nagaraj.
